At the two sites in Geringswalde and Hartha, the toolmakers have a total of more than 3500 m² of production space at their disposal. Clever minds, state-of-the-art technologies and a wide range of machinery prove here every day that precision, quality and fast production times do not have to be mutually exclusive.

Competence for punching tools and injection molds

With IT-driven, but above all cleverly organized corporate processes, the toolmakers are thus able to handle almost all the necessary machining and assembly steps for stamping dies and injection molds in-house. The experts test stamping and progressive dies themselves under series production conditions. This makes them so successful that every established automobile brand has at least one piece of Fischer toolmaking equipment on the road.

The stamping tools and injection molds are sometimes assembled by the tool experts at Fischer Werkzeugbau from more than 2000 individual parts. Networked machines and a digitalized workflow are not only intended to ensure maximum quality in toolmaking, but also help minimize downtime. Fischer Werkzeugbau's machine park now comprises more than 40 systems. In addition to CNC milling, EDM, wire EDM and die-sinking EDM machines, virtually every station can be found at the sites to manufacture and inspect all components in toolmaking itself. These include conventional lathes and various grinding machines, but also a laser production line in Hartha. Fully automated processes, as in the case of the machines with pallet changers, increase effectiveness, but also require the necessary technical know-how.

Fischer Werkzeugbau relies on a high degree of automation

The competent programmers at Fischer Werkzeugbau have a total of eight workstations at their disposal for machining the stamping dies and injection molds. Five NX systems for preparing data for 3D milling. In addition, three Mecanic systems for programming the wire and die-sinking EDM machines and the CNC milling machines. These allow precise 5-sided machining of workpieces up to a size of 2500 × 920 × 820 mm. For the control of the machines, the company directly uses the CAD data once developed by the design engineers. This eliminates conversion steps. And the toolmakers thus rule out interface problems and transmission errors from the outset.
